Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope


Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit program and a member of
NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) with instructors certified to teach riding therapy.
HHH provides therapeutic horsemanship and other equine-assisted activities to benefit students
with physical, mental, emotional and learning disabilities.

HANNAH'S HORSES

MINI COOPER
Mini Cooper is a 1 year old bay miniature gelding.
He is young and spirited and loves attention.

MR. TOM
Mr. Tom is a cute 8 year dun miniature gelding
with a dorsal stripe down his back.

CISCO
Cisco is a 24 yr old Quarter Horse gelding,
retired playday and rodeo horse.
He is super sweet and takes the smaller riders for walks.
 

SCOOBIE DO
Scoobie Do is a 10 yr old Quarter horse gelding
who was used as a lesson horse and ranch horse.
He is still in trial but under saddle he is quite nice.

GERONIMO
Geronimo is a jewel in disguise!
He is a little paint pony and loves to be groomed.
He goes to schools for field days and also takes
our smallest riders for rides. He is a 15 year old former pony ride pony.
 

KING KONG
King Kong is our gentle giant.
He was formerly a  ranch roping horse who loved hauling
those big steers where they needed to go.
Now he makes some of our riders feel super important by letting them ride him!
He is a 20 yr old Draft cross gelding.
 

OATMEAL
Oatmeal is a 25 yr old Quarter Horse gelding
who was formerly a champion roping horse.
Now he lets some of our wheelchair riders ride him. He is very sweet.
 

SPRING BLOSSOM
Spring Blossom is another gem!
She is a 25 year old Paint mare who is a retired trail riding horse.
She is a very dependable steady horse for our insecure riders.
 

TROUBLE
Trouble is a Palomino registered Quarter horse mare,
15 years old, and 15.2 hands high.
She is a show horse trained for Western Pleasure
and is a delight since she is so well trained.
She is on lease to HHH and the kids are already falling in love
with her lovely temperament, and despite her "troublesome"
name she is no trouble at all to our students and staff!

The ideal therapy horse is sound, has an easy-going, calm temperament and a very
big heart.  Our horses have come to us from a variety of backgrounds from racing, to ranch
hand, to pony rides.  If you have a gentle horse that you are not using, please
